Showing that Idaho is for everyone ski Idaho is offering free skiing and snowboarding passes to 5th and 6th graders at 18 ski resorts.
To get the pass there is only an $18 processing fee and the offer extends for three visits. The offer is not only for students in Idaho, but also for any students in other states or countries.
Tony Harrison, publisher for Ski Idaho, says that they have decided give this offer to students in this age group because this is the best time to learn how to ski.
The offer is not only for students in Idaho, but also for any students in other states or countries.
Harrison said that he is working with one family who comes up from Texas.
Winter can be tough for families living in cold areas. Winter is always much more fun when the family can do activities together. To use the passport each child needs to have a parent or guardian needs to be present.
Not only is this a fun activity for a family, but they get to ski in some of the best snow in the United States with popular resorts like Grand Targhee and Sun Valley - Americas first destination ski resort.
"The family friendly reputation of Idaho ski resorts is well deserved," Ski Idaho board chair and Brundage Mountain Resort president and managing director Bob Looper says. "Our incredible, uncrowded terrain offers some of the most spectacular skiing and snowboarding on the planet regardless of your age and ability, and our Idaho Peak Season Passport makes it a lot easier for families to take advantage of our good wintertime fortune."
